The Role
On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Senior Paralegal. This is a full-time, permanent role with hybrid working available after an initial period.
You will manage mortgage litigation, lender sales, and related matters, delivering end-to-end case work and high-quality client service. Reporting to the team leader, this position combines case management, documentation, financial oversight, and continuous improvement activity.
Responsibilities will include
- Manage fee-earning mortgage litigation and lender sales matters from allocation through to resolution.
- Liaise with clients, customers, and external parties to progress cases within service level agreements.
- Prepare, draft, and review legal correspondence and supporting documentation.
- Monitor key dates and maintain accurate updates within case management systems.
- Oversee billing and the full financial management of matters.
- Keep system data accurate to support reporting and management information production.
- Contribute to process improvements and support senior management initiatives.
- Work in line with industry frameworks, policies, and procedures.
- Promote positive behaviour and act as a subject matter expert within the team.
The Person
The successful candidate will be a meticulous, self-motivated legal professional with strong communication skills and a clear commitment to high-quality client service.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in law or a related field.
- Paralegal experience, or equivalent, within a mortgage or financial services environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with strong organisational ability.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook; advanced Excel skills are desirable.
The Hours
Full-time, permanent role, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
The Salary
£28-32,000
